About The Instructor

Dave Allison is the founder of Allison Taijutsu, and has been training in martial arts for 32 years.

Mr. Allison has served as a law enforcement officer and light infantry scout, and has trained select members of the Special Operations Forces and law enforcement personnel. He has also provided personal protective services for the Dalai Lama of Tibet as well as celebrities such as John Schneider, Debbie Reynolds and Doc Severinsen.

Mr. Allison is also a fully ordained Buddhist monk in the Tendai tradition.

Media Director Laura Baugh (8th kyu) prefers the smooth efficiency of Taijutsu. Laura is a professional animal trainer and behavior analyst. Her pursuits include writing, various competitive dogsports, and eating chocolate.

Visual Director Alena Van Arendonk (8th kyu) is moving forward on the continuum to her full potential in Taijutsu. Alena is a studio artist and works as a behavior analyst and trainer.
